    A common source of complaints on the forums is the practice of adding new players to old realms containing advanced level players with large kingdoms of many cities. The advanced players and their alliances often control all resources in the realm. There currently is no incentive for the advanced players and alliances to allow new players the opportunity to expand and complete quests.

    One possible remedy might be additional quests to encourage advanced players to apprentice new ones in their realm. The apprenticeship should link the two players in a manner similar to an alliance while the new player levels up. The quests should provide incentives to the advanced player as the apprentice progresses through each new level. Under this scenario, the new player may complete all quests and advance to a point where independence from the other player is possible.

    The bugs are a major issue. The game crashes all the time. Is it a problem with too much memory build up? If so program in a dump for non vital stats to keep the memory freed up. 90% Of the comments in the iTunes store have this complaint. This will soar in popularity and rating once this is addressed.

    1. The ability to move castles to new realms
    2. Advanced realms- For Players who have gotten on the toP castle list can Put their castles and battle each other (I'm tired of being surrounded by PeoPles who have huge castles)
    3. More buildings and such. Griffins would be cool to battle against dragons...
    4. Like forests & mountains there could be caves, dragon nests, and such (:o collect dragon eggs?)
    5. The ability to use shiPs, you have all that ocean why don't you use it for something?

    Here are a few ideas I have. Hope you enjoy them/ use them.

    1. Add a permanent building, a treasury or vault. This building can store resources and dragon crystals won from an individual location. They can be transferred between vaults or treasuries if you will. If a location is seized by another player the resources and dragon crystals inside the treasury are stolen. *Any person who's purchased dragon crystals cannot lose them.* these dragon crystals can violate a possible cap to the number able to be stored. This cap will prevent people from dominating the dragon crystals allowing lesser leveled players a chance to both harvest them or possibly take them from a city whose owner is not careful.
    2. Have each city contain its own resource cap. This way a newly created city won't have the overpowering ability to build as fast without the aid of a user’s other cities resources. The resources can be transferred between the cities but only up to the amount the level's cap allows.
    3. Change the specifications of city parameters so that only a certain number of solders can live within a city. Players must then choose to either build a city with towers for protection or resource mines for expansion or housing for their solders as a fort. Allow players to customize each city to specialize or a balance of each.
    4. Resources being transferred from one location could be subject to bandits. These bandits would be NPC's that would try and steal all or some of the resources in transit. This could allow for a new tech tree to be created that all pertained to movement. For instant a level 1 resource mover could be a basic cart. This cart could level up all the way to an armed escort or similar.
    5. Each realm could be divided into several sections, for instance 5 basic regions. Each region has a NPC castle who hails as the King to that region. This NPC castle can be housed by any player able to conquer it. Holding it will be difficult because of its low resource cap and inability to house many solders. Thus players will battle over becoming a king of a region. When a player becomes King he must pay for maintenance of his region so his resources are leached from each of his cities. This King does however receive a special crown which is placed over his home city. No player can be King of more the one region at a time.
    a. A leader board for time held could allow for a degree of competition between realms as well as within it.
    b. Each region's king has a political rating. This rating can be either a curse or a blessing the king. This rating can comprise with 3 elements.
    x. Forests and Mountains owned by all members within its own region and amongst other regions. *** Possible twist... Resources could boost everyone within the region not just one player. Making them less skirmished over between alliance members.***
    xx. Each player can pick approve or disapprove of the way the king is handling things.
    xxx. The number of battles won vs. lost between members of one region vs. another. *This will cause for larger players in a realm to look after their lower players because their score adds to their overall benefit.
    These elements all work to provide perks to their region. Regions with high ratings 100-75% produce resources at a faster rate ~10% faster. They also have a 200 defense bonus. They are also less likely ~10% to be raided by NPC thieves when transferring resources. Regions with 75-50% only 5% resource boost, 50 defense, and 5% less likely to be raided. 50-25% are neutral with no bonus. Regions that fall below the 25% mark have an increased chance of being raided. They also produce resources slower than other regions.
    c. Regions are at war with each other. As a king a player can declare war between other regions. Each player must choose a region they chose to ally with. If the player has multiple cities in different regions. If a player does have cities in a region that is now declared hostile because it lies within a region outside of his allegiance it becomes 25-75% easier for people within that region to attack and conquer it. This would make players to build in a more condensed manor. Players can choose to be neutral inside a region, but looses the ability to take any additional forests or mountains inside this area. *though they can defend those they already have. Or similar idea.
    6. World events occur weekly or biweekly even monthly. Seasonal changes that make it harder or easier to produce resources. Winters kill solders and leave forest or mountains unclaimed. Storms blow through and last for hour’s even days. Stopping resource production and killing troops and making it harder to move from location or transfer resources. Players can lose cities that aren't properly fortified (leveled) by the time that a storm hits. *only if it's a second.. third.. 10th.. city.* An NPC enemy comes to attack and each player must donate solders and resources to fight them off. If enough solders aren't donated or resources collected then NPC's raid the realm and destroy cities and capture resources. New techs could be created to combat storms or winters etc...
    7. Make players choose between light and dark techs or a combination of both *with no specialization* (i.e. all level 4 techs of each no level 5's). If a player chooses light they get the benefits of all the technologies and perks available for the light and vice versa for the dark.
    8. Create items that a player can hold temporarily or permanently that will give special perks to its holder. Perhaps a book or a person that can be placed at a location that aids help. For example a traveling merchant may ask to stop at your city and offer good trade (i.e. the market at a discount) or maybe you'll open your gates and he'll rob you blind. He'll stay as long as you welcome him. But only one guy at a time. A traveling warrior might offer his services for a price, temporally boosting battle skills. Etc....

    Reason: I found that it's one of the causes for slowing down the game. It takes about 30 seconds to 1 min just to bring up the bottom menu up for me now and i need to constantly restart the game if I want to go to another city to build. I have over 450 barracks training.

    How: I was able to find the cause because when I am in the moving screen mode, the animations are played smoothy but when i'm still, the images are played at a rate of 1 frame per 30 seconds.

    Reason:
    Some/most advanced players are getting bored just being powerful and not being able to get much challenge because there is too much of a power difference between other weak players.
    This will also balance the game by making strong players weaker in the realm because they will need to spend their troops in the battle, and it will give weaker player a chance.

    How: I understand that this would be very unbalanced if an advanced player is able to attack and take cities from other realms, but instead, you could create a system where an alliance/player is able to challenge a single battle against a alliance/player from another realm for any of the rewards i've mentioned above.

    Reason: Currently, i find it that only 1 is enough to scout a city or resource. Maybe having lots of scouts stationed in a city/resource prevents from enemy’s scouts with less amount to scout the cities or resources?

    (for example 1 point for a swordsman and 30 for a catapult) instead of the population. In addition, ability to view the entire game ranking.

    I’ve actually never found it to be useful since day 1 and i’m sure most people would aggree.


    I’m sure making all my suggestions real is highly unlikely, but it would be nice if even 1 or 2 of my sugessions are taken to consideration.

    - a certain number of realms open at the same time so no realm is at a disadvantage of starting later.

    - have scouts able to see when your alliance members city is

    - be able to help in alliance members city defense

    - be able to park/statioN your troops at alliance members cities.

    - able to launch attack at same time on 1 city.

    - be able to create permanent army groups that can be moved around and reinforced without going to a city.

    I completely agree with ljipop...

    1. There should be a portal that we can go in to attack other realm, this is for top 5 players in every realm since most the top 5 players controll the realm and we already feel bored of this game waiting for someone brave enough to rake us down.

    2. We should be alerted if someone from other alliance (or other realm) attack any member if our alliance in case they are not online to protect them from other players.

    From an alliance leader's perspective, here are some enhancements that would benefit alliances:
    1. Expand the alliance screen to include member stats, rankings, and progress metrics.
    2. Provide alliance leaders a simple means to broadcast messages to all alliance members as a group.
    3. Provide a method for alliance leaders to poll alliance members on matters requiring a vote or confirmation.
    4. Provide a private alliance chat capability. Perhaps using color highlighted text only visible to alliance members in the existing chat screen.
    5. Highlight forests and mountains owned by alliance members with blue titles in the same fashion as alliance cities.

    1) When scouting or marching to take over a city have different troop speeds (ie, scouts move fast and catapults move slow.) When someone scouts you and your defense wins, have it show the name of the person who scouted you.

    2) ***Better battle mechanics. If you have a level 5 city it shouldn't be as easy to take it over as a level 3 (which that is how it is now). It is too easy to take over a city now, make it a bit harder.

    3) Make the castles go a higher level such as level 10.

    4) Alliance chat would be hella good so players in the same alliance can interact with each other.

    5) Be able to port your main city to other realms to conquer else where.

    6) Have a server merge between some of the major realms with big players in them, so instead of say 300 players in one realm, merge together like 4 or 5 so its a good size where a lot of battles can take place.

    7) Definitely fix the lag that the game has when building or training a high amount of units.

    Thats about it for now.

    So far I have enjoyed the game, bugs and all. I do buy Dragon crystals, although I can see a situation where if you have the resources you could end up controlling a realm just but purchasing the crystals.
    I try as much as is possible to help new people coming into our realm, even to the extent of allowing new people to take the occasional resource. Of course not everyone plays this way.
    I think trading would be an excellent addition, and inter alliance war would certainly be an interesting feature.
    As dark_link999 has said all the fixes he recommends would a be a great start.
    He is an example of someone who has helped me when I first started understand the game, so not all long term players are bullies.

    I am not so sure about the vault idea, mentioned earlier. We are all pretty much at the same level where resources are concerned unless you really can afford thousands of dollars for buying youir way to the top. Maybe a cap on the ability to purchase if you start trying to go too far too fast, especially in the Classic realms.

    Again Trading and communications inside alliances would be excellent features, possibly even trading between individuals.
    CC is an excellent game but generally needs to be more stable.

    1) Clean up inactive players. Make their castles orange castles. (maybe keep these open to new comers and ppl not in the top ## helping balance the rhelm).

    2) Rhelms need to be bigger and/or allow larger players to attack other rhelms. This would allow Rhelms to band together and hit others in the game. Or maybe combine some top rhelms for larger battles. This would help both large players and small players out.

    3) Now that emails have been shortened can you create a "delete all" for that set of emails? It would save so much time!

    4) Maybe include new quest or events to keep ppl busy once they reach high lvls.

    5) Need to create a delete button for rhelms that we joined and decide we didnt want to be in or died in. This would do a few things like clean up maps and create orange castles/resources for other players in rhelm (see #1).

    6) Amounts of buying crystals are scewed once you get higher. I would suggest a ramp up (percentage increase as you progress each lvl).

    Is it possible to decrease the maps resolutions as it is at a certain point in the Zoom, just as you are beginning to see city names, that it crashes.
    This is a definitely and easily repeatable bug, at least on the Ipad.
    My I pad is the biggest one so it may occur earlier for those with less RAM.
    IT certainly seems to be an overflow that causes the crash

    I would like a more precise way of setting troops to be trained. Right now the slider is not the best way when making large numbers of troops. Would prefer the option of using a pop up keypad.

    Here are some of my suggestions:

    1. Game balancing - Huge armies
    Make troops consume food, this will limit the size of armies. Currently the army size is unlimited (army size growth is limited by population, but not the max size).

    2. Defense vs offense.
    Attacking is currently too easy. The battlepoints of walls and towers should be increased five-tenfold. This would enable an easier defense.

    3. Helping smaller players
    The field of vision of low-level players should be increased

    4. Point of diminishing return.
    There should be a tax for any additional city, and that tax % should increase along with the number of cities.
    The bonus granted by forests and mountains should decrease with their number.

    5. Communications
    There should be an "alliance mail" function

    6. Pirates/Raiders
    There should be pirates and/or raiders in the game, and they should target the largest players.

    7. Discontent & approval rating.
    Within a 24h period, each time you attack (anything) your approval rating should go down. Your revenue should be proportional to your approval rating. Rating should go back up slowly when you stop attacking.
    Cities, forests and mountains should start to "rebel" when below a certain approval treshold, and become NPC asset

    Yes, the crashing is at it's peak when you can see the city names. There's a "sweet spot" when you zoom in just enough to see the names where it crashes virtually ANY time you move the map around. *Definitely* fix the crashing issues first.

    Then make the game easier to use
    ~Go-to button for cities
    ~Remove timers/put them behind a tab/only show timers for that city
    ~Mail/alliance/chat fixes (been mentioned a lot above)

    Then add major changes like inter-realm battle and other huge game changes.

    1.A better chat system such as a server channel and an alliance one.

    2.The price of crystalls is too high especially when you consider the bugs in the shop where you get billed for stuff you don't want which makes me even more relucTant to buy stuff.

    If population and army required feeding it would go a long way to solving the dictatorship problems. I'm sure I don't need to go into detail here about the subtle implications it would have. I'm VERY surprised few people have mentioned this.

    Timers REMOVED! YES!!
    Fix the glitching cities that are auto-taken from scouting.
    Fix the catapults glitch.
    Ability to navigate to your cities through the "My Kingdom" tab.
    Ability to have an Icon for your cities that only YOU can see.
    A more accurate number slider, or ability to enter an actual number.
    Fix the scouting actions to actual function properly. One scout should not be able to actual scout and get information on a lvl 5 city with 500 scouts.
    Make the units that counter other units directly attack them without having to go through ALL the swordsman first. Let pikeman directly engage horse, etc.

    Just a few, sorry if I repeated stuff.

    Awesome concept and game, just clean it up and pay attention to detail!

    Here are suggestions to improve city navigation and notifications.
    1. Change the My Kingdom city list in the People menu so that selecting a city takes you directly to the city inspect screen for the city, rather than showing the city stats.
    2. Place the progress timers for build, research and train on the appropriate buildings in the respective city inspect screens.
    3. Provide a preference option to eliminate the Troops Recalled and Troops Returning email messages.

    Another thing, while training troops in multiple barracks it sucks going to each one individually, you should put it to where you can split production to all barcks so it splits it up evenly. that would be super good.

    My 2 cents:

    1. Fix bugs!
    2. Limit army size based on percent of population. Allow this limit to be exceeded at a decline in production up to a defined limit.
    3. Have population use food, and standing army use all three resources a little per tick. Big armies take resources to fight. If Food remains at zero, people die. If army resources deplete, the army disbands.
    4. The larger the army, the longer it takes to march. Small strike forces move quickly, large armies take longer.
    5. Level 5 cities should be much harder to conquer. Much harder. As long as it takes to build it, its far too easy to lose. Sieges were long in well fortified castles.
    6. A successful siege should only reduce a city walls and towers one level. Add a sacking option that takes time to reduce a city to level one and destroy buildings. Add a timer to sack. Occupying forces can't be fighting and sacking.
    7. A city captured must be occupied or it reverts back to the previous owner. Add a long timer to occupy successfully and a short timer if the city is taken and abandoned.
    8. Make a variety of different city maps with random build sites with bonuses to production. Example: one city map has several spots with bonuses to food production. Build a farm and get the bonus, build some other building, no bonus.
    9. Hide the resource owner of forests and mountains. It's unfair you know whose they are without scouting, but you can't tell whose city is whose without scouting.
    10. Cut back number of automatic emails.
    11. Tell me what a barracks is building when I tap it.
    12. Taking a city should reduce a portion of the max resources of the defending player based on city level and amount of resources produced by that city. The capital city should not be the only one that is impacted by loss of resources. Sacking a city should be the only way to gain resources to the attacker.

    Diplomacy.
    1. Add a new building type to the existing set, don't increase build spots in the city. This will be the Embassy.
    2. Add a new unit type: The Ambassador. Built from the embassy, the Ambassador allows the player to travel to another player's city with an embassy and create diplomatic ties to that city. The Ambassador gains the ability to collect information about the city: army size, active mission, current barracks build, destination of marching army, etc. It would run like another timer resulting in a random bit of information in an email. You could even add a monetary amount to "grease the palms." Bribery. Ambassadors are used up when they create an embassy in another city.
    3. Add a new unit type: The Spy. Can collect specific data but is used up on completion and is a high end expensive unit. Can be used to sabotage actions or events with a severe cost in gold and limited numbers of times. A counter-intelligence mission can be used to thwart any terrorism acts. If thwarted, a chance that the initiator is revealed.
    4. Ambassadors can be evicted from the city by the player owner at anytime. Combat actions cannot be done while there is an active embassy with the target player. Cool down between kicking out an ambassador and attacking the player.
    5. Alliances are formed by mutual embassies in capitals. You can distribute the current cost of an alliance across the build cost of each capital embassy and ambassador build cost.

    HIGHLY NEEDED: Give all players a ranking based on num cities of each level and/or armies. Make it impossible to attack someone who is more than XX ranks below you. This is needed to restrict bullying. And for more challenge: give a nice bonus when beating someone who has a higher rank.

    Feature suggestions:
    1. Simplify city navigation, e.g. Previous/next city buttons within city screen
    2. Simplify army management, e.g. Army overview screen which shows all cities and details on the armies in each city. Allow to open the city views directly from that screen.
    3. Simplify army management for forests and mountains as well. Either a toggle to show armies inside forests/mountains on the overland map or show the details on a separate screen (including quicklinks to reinforce/recall troups)
    4. Display forests/mountains that belong to your alliance in a separate color.
    5. Alliance chat
    6. Separate inbox for messages from other players and for system notifications.
    7. Make it easier to bulk delete system notifications like 'Troops Recalled', 'March Completed', etc.
    8. Allow trading/giving resources between alliance members
    9. Allow sending troops to an alliance member to help in defence. Perhaps introduce a new building that is placed outside your walls which can hold a certain number of alliance troops.
    10. Improve defence capabilities of a city. E.g. make the walls and towers MUCH more powerful and/or allow additional fortifications/multiple towers.
    11. To improve balance: limit the max number of mountains and forests a single person can hold to something like 50 each or perhaps 100.

    And of course fix the crashes when nagivating the map on certain zoom levels and fix performance when training a lot of troops ;)

    1. Fix push notifications and forget password bug.
    2. Dont add unneccessary resources like food, which is not needed actually. Better change it to useful stuff like army food. More food needed for more longer marches.
    3. More missions to keep players playing.
    4. Do not put unli resource as well as realm battles together in the upgrade. Allowing it so would make one superplayer who rules every realm or something like that.
    5. Allow limits of army creation in every castle. More army= more food required
    6. Allow alliance chat and make something to show alliance progress/loss.
    7. Make button for easier navigation between castle to castle.
    8. Allow security on chat to ban foul mouted players indefinitely.
    9. Personalise a strong npc character "the wrath" which is shown at the start of the game.
    10. Allow npc players and events too eg. Earthquakes, bandit troops etc.
    11. Fix glitches.
    12. Ban cc cheaters (crystal hackers etc.)

    1. I've said before: this game is wonderful and now that the developers have made it free, they need to get their funds from somewhere. A sure-fire money maker would be having a piece of sky for sale at the market place. We start off with that tiny quarter-sized round view. What if we could buy a larger view. Because if you cannot see it, you cannot get to it. Nothing bugged me so much as to hear crystals landing around me, and not being able to get to them. Or know there was a forest just outside my circle. I would have gladly paid real money to see a bigger slice of the map before I leveled up.

    2. Be able to buy an anti-attack spell that lasts for a set amount of time. An impenetrable shield of course, while the shield is up, the player cannot attack anyone else. This will help the newbie against the bigger aggressive player that attacks daily to bleed off their resources. Price them low so the player can buy multiples or have multiple day packs.

    But the food should be eaten.
    Make the resources per city, but gold and lumber go into the main city's coffers. that way, bigger players won't attack so much if they don't get rewarded for it. So the only thing they can gain is food if they attack.

    A lot of these suggestions sound good, but a lot also sound like turning this game into Mattel Town. It is a BATTLE game. Aggression is good in the right place: ie, this game. It is a place normal, well-adjusted people can come and bleed off the ANGER caused by HELPLESSNESS we face in the real world. No, I don't like having my cities taken. No, I didn't like the bully on Victoria taking every single city I'd build except my home city, but I joined an alliance and we took him down and I rebuilt. I'm top dog on my realm now, and I am NOT a bully. But if I was, that is no excuse to take what I have earned under adverse situations so you can play an EASIER game. I see both sides. I choose to help the newbies and give away cities and forests. We are building our alliance with the hopes of one day being able to take our force to other realms and challenge them for supremacy. But I feel the cap of 3 mil is sufficient. I have 156 cities. No where near all the map. I spend half my time chasing crystals to fuel my refineries and upgrades and the other half going from city to city to level them up. See, the last major change they made cost me all the money and time I'd put in because i had to go back, sell most of my buildings and pretty much start from scratch. So major changes that hurt only the bigger players will ultimately hurt the game because the bigger players didn't get there by just sitting. I work this game ten hours a day. Yeah, I know...some have told me to get a life. Well guess what? I'm disabled with a terminal disease, and this game takes my mind OFF my life. It came at just the right time. Now, there are imbalances, but that doesn't mean its okay to make it imbalanced in the OPPOSITE direction. A lot of great ideas and some lame ones...that's all I'm saying.

    Dude, you're crazy for real!! Buying crystals is basically the only way the devs make money on this game. If they limited the amount one could buy they'd be cutting off their own noses.

    You can chase crystals. there plenty falling. I garnered over 10,000 last night. I don't buy them anymore. I can't afford to. But if someone else wants to, more power to them.

    Besides, smart players (me and others) can get around this. simply reinforce a level two or three city with a zillion troops and attack you with that city. I can overwhelm your walls with expendable swordsmen and finish you off with dragon knights and dragons. My level five cities rarely fight. I build troops from them because they retain their level when they go to lower cities.

    The are some good ideas but please be careful not to un fairly balance the game against bigger players, I agree small players need a hand when joining a developed realm but given the time and effort I have put in I would be against many of the ideas the smaller players have suggested.

    My main bug is the constant crashes, sort this out as a priority would be my suggestion.

    I love the game and disagree with most points being made here- I don't want the game to change... It just needs a few minor improvements. Auto harvest is pointless! It already does that and you don't have to harvest things if you cant be bothered.The 'goto city' idea is really needed, especially as you wouldn't need to scan the map constantly, which causes the crashes.
    For the iPad version make the menu choices (like mail) fill the screen like the iPhone version. Currently if you touch anywhere other than the keyboard it cancels the message you were writing- this happens constantly and is really annoying. Colour coding or having a visible name on all mountains and forests like the cities would be useful as people in your alliance can still attack them currently and It can take ages to find someones forest!
    The correct time display for mail received and an outbox of sent mail would also be great.
    I really want to be able to send and train specific numbers of troops- maybe a +/- toggle instead of the seemingly random scrolling across.

    1. The suggestion about helping lower level castles is great but I have been doing that since April. That is mentoring the new people and helping when they have questions.

    2. There are not enough forests and mountains. They are all owned by others.

    3. Use the Ocean Space to be able to travel to different parts of the map easier.

    4. Alliance members need a better way to communicate with each other.

    5. There should be more levels of castles and difference resources like using dragons more in your attacks as scouts not just having them there defending castles. You should be able to see them attack a city or resource.

    6. Fix the glitch that kick you out of the screen you are typing in. If you type to fast it kicks you out. ex. I have been kicked of this screen 7 times as i hav been typing.

    7. Make it so one alliance can communicate with another. Thats all for now. Hope you consider some suggestions.

    2) better markings for cities from far view. I have 19 cities and, although it's not an unbearable amount sometimes I forget where they are and then eventually I run into it and I could have been working on it... So maybe some sort of color code system

    4) individual kingdom resource cap, 3 level 5 cities = 9,000,000 instead of 3 to a certain cap but MORE THAN 3,000,000

    5) make it so it stops crashing when you zoom in to see city names. MOST FRUSTARTING THING IN THE WORLD

    6) as of now, in castle markets we can cash out 1 dragon crystal for 2,000 food, lumber or gold. It would be cool if it could work the other way and we could cash that stuff out for crystals. Now I know that it would be unfair because some people replenish their resources in 5-6 minutes, so it should be a lot more. Instead of 2,000 to make a crystal, make it like 50,000 gold, lumber or food gets you 1 crystal. That would be cool vase that would mean for a WHOLE resource batch, you would get 60 crystals. To take it a step further to make it fair, make it so there's a time period to wait. 15-30 minutes per crystal. And then to take it another step further so people don't/can't overtake too much because of this, make it so this can ONLY be done in the primary kingdom castle

    I have to agree with the comment about adding new players to existing realms. It's nearly impossible to gain resources when the entirety of the realm is in use by two or three players who can destroy you while barely advance. It also isn't helped when you click on a resource and it doesn't show it's owned, so you scout it and it only to find out it's owned AND the person attacks you. I really enjoy the game, I get the point of world domination, there just needs to be some bala

    This is a wonderful game (and addiction). But it needs some balance and longevity infused. Others had some truly awesome ideas I will build upon.


    1. Simplify city navigation, e.g. Previous/next city buttons within city screen or from within MyCity screen allow you go go to city directly.

    2. Simplify army management for forests and mountains as well. Either a toggle to show armies inside forests/mountains on the overland map or show the details on a separate screen (including quicklinks to reinforce/recall troups). This is good.

    3. Display forests/mountains that belong to your alliance in a separate color. Also maximize number of resources per player. This is a must.

    4. Separate inbox for messages from other players and for system notifications.

    5. Allow trading/giving resources between alliance members

    6. Allow sending troops to an alliance member to help in defense. Perhaps introduce a new building that is placed outside your walls which can hold a certain number of alliance troops. Awesome idea.

    7. To improve balance: limit the max number of mountains and forests a single person can hold to something like 50 each or perhaps 100.

    8. Fix push notifications and forget password bug.

    9. Make upkeep tied to number of cities and army size, not population.

    10. More missions to keep players playing and cost resources for higher level players.

    11. Make quests for helping new players, it builds community and helps newbs.

    12. Make button for easier navigation between castle to castle.

    13. Allow security on chat to ban foul mouted players indefinitely.

    14. Make random events do something on a realm, both positive and negative. Plaugues, invasions, etc. NPS enemies that require strategic battle planning. Allow npc players and events too eg. Earthquakes, bandit troops etc.

    15. Fix glitches, bugs and downright problematic code.

    16. Ban cc cheaters (crystal hackers etc.). Block their device from even logging in again.
    17. Add multiple ranking lists. Population, # cities, Army size, quest points.

    18. Make other Trainable units. Ships, SPIES, etc. I want to se the LAYOUT and building #’s. Scouts can scout the city but a spy can get Intel- like army size, # goldmines and refineries, etc.

    19.INTER REALM Combat between alliance.

    Related to the last one, each realm shows a globe, but it could be merely HALF a world. With Battle Ships and Troop Transport Ships a whole new world could be explored,, make Relams more like nations and Alliances like states and have inter realm wars.

    Also, make Alliance Battle relevant. It should allow declaration of war and if two at wars alliances reach a crystal crater then they fight first and the winner then takes on the dragons for crystals. Have at war alliances cross pass in transit and fight. This also curtails super players slightly. It means at war alliances have some caution when traveling.

    And of course fix the crashes when navigating the map on certain zoom levels and fix performance when training a lot of troops ;)

Some other ideas are that there is no gold cap, but to limite the amount of troups people make there should be a food cap. AlsO a huge problem is wait time

    I won't repeat the biggest thing, which is the crashes and "buy and don't receive" problem, which I think everyone is in agreement with.

    Here are some others that I am in agreement with:

    1. Alliance chat. Seriously needed.

    2. Be able to reinforce an ally. There should be a limit on how many troops you can send to help an ally, to keep it fair, but you should be able to reinforce an ally.

    3. Go to buttons for cities. Would be much appreciated.

    4. Population and army. Yes, armies should consume food. You should have to pay something for the size of your army.

    5. Better way of choosing # of troops. Hard to get slider to an exact #. BUT slider does work really well when you need move all soldiers quickly. Just one flick.

    6. New quests for high level players. They need something to do. Give them quests that are specifically for those who reach the top. Also, would be a very good idea if high level players from different realms then have the option to battle each other.

    7. It needs to be much harder than it is right now to attack a city, the higher it's level. It should be much harder than just "send lots of troops". Level 5s should, of course, be the hardest to take down.

    8. Limit the number or how many times you can buy dragon crystals in a specific amount of time. I've bought dragon crystals, but I think being able to buy endless amounts is not fair play. I know it's revenue, but you need to level the playing field here.


    Other Suggestions:
    9. Better battle tactics:

    a. Limit on # of resources you can conquer in a specific amount of time or you have a certain amount of time in which to conquer as much as you can and then you have to wait until your next cycle.

    b. Ways to counter a larger army who is attacking. Right now, there is no way to do this--except to make your army retreat. However, the solution shouldn't be some easy peasy baby fix. Perhaps there quests you can complete in order to gain certain items that give you PERIODS OF PROTECTION against a bigger army should they strike. This item takes some doing to get and it does not last forever. You either have to get another one or renew the one you have within a certain amount of time. Army size should not factor into your ability to get this item.

    c. Quests for special items in general is a good idea and could help expand what play can do within in the game.

    d. There should be a series of quests that you can complete in order to make your secondary city unable to capture--at least for a period of time--like your home city. Again, perhaps this is something that you need to renew. But when you spend so much time building up a secondary city, it is too incredibly easy for another player to take. This problem might be addressed in part if it becomes harder to take a city the higher it's level.

    There might be some more, but these are the ones that come to mind as the most important.

    It would be nice to see some variety. The only difference between players is the troops they decide to train. Once your level 5, your essentially the same as everyone else. Make the progression of levelling up have diifferent defined options. Like once you decide to research light magic, dark magic is no longer available, or is harder to attain. Or have specializations that are not a madatory requirement to levelling up, so there is a little more choice to type of kingdom you build.

    I would like to have a clearer/expanded barracks setup, like being able to see how much of each troop I already have, while deciding what to train, instead of writing everything down on paper. I would also like to scout myself, to see for example what my 10 lvl5 towers look like to everyone else because I honestly don't get the battle calculations. Its far too complicated for my humble brain.

    Limit the distance that troops can travel. They must rest at an alliance city, or resource u own. Troops need upkeep costs, ie. Food.

    My realm is full, there is nothing more to do, we are all in alliance together, everyone is level 5, new players dont have a chance.

    If i have a tower, i should have some warning that troops are approaching, or something. Also, if someone attacks a resource, and i'm not online, and they lose, i have no way of knowing who it was. Don't like that!

    The farming could be expanded, so that u need sheep for wool, a tannery, for shoes and leatheer, a smithy, a mill, and these resources etc, could be traded between players. If you had a city close to water, you could build boats to fish. Or at one of the rivers you could build a mill. Or, you could have resource cities, that could not be taken, just raided or something, because they would primarily produce resources to sell to everyone, sort of a market system. You could decide not to sell to enemies, or whatever. These cities would be a build choice, probably more expensive, and would be depedant on their proximity to water, pasture, etc.

    I would like to see a way to trade resources and crystals between cities. I like the "embassy" and ambassador idea for the tech tree which could allow this activity.

    This would certainly give a leg up to weaker players and something new to do for established players.

    I would also like to see at Least the ability to arrange troops for attack formations before and during battle for both sides. Adding a real-Time view showing units disappearing during battle would be fun as well.

    Food definitely needs to play a larger role in upkeep of cities and armies.

    Also, when a city is captured, it shouldn't revert back to level 1. The damage should be random and be based somewhat on the size and scale of the battle. If I attack and defeat a L5 city, maybe the castle is demoted a couple of levels and the walls are at L1 or L2, and some of the buildings are missing or demoted.

    I would like to be able to send messages to more than one person at a time, I.e. One message that goes out to all my alliance members.

    I would also like to have resources available to actually 'defend' my castle while under attack, maybe with a swift counter attack by the alliance.

    I would also like to be able to get to, and harvest crystals faster. It is becoming ever so hard to gather them before others do.

    I would like to be able to actually get forests, and mountains. All the stronger players have taken everything. There's nothing left to complete the quests, produce more gold & lumber and be able to build more then the city we start with. You may consider putting a cap on how much the stronger players can have so we can play too.

    I would lime to know who is scouting my castle. Maybe maintain anonymity the first scouting attempt, but if they come back the same day, I would like the opportunity to retaliate. I am but one city, being attacked by leaders in the realm.

    I would also like to be able to chat with my alliance, and access to more realms where I can start out fresh and with half a chance to succeed.

    Lastly, I really would appreciate you stop deleting my games. You have caused me to start the game over, and over again. NO, I was not an inactive player, but instead get booted, then deleted.

    first, i absolutely love this game. i have dumped countless hours into mastering build order, soldier training, and realm domination.

    i also got bored from my ability to crush anyone i desire without retribution. so i took a month off, but came back about 3 weeks ago. it took me no time at all to reestablish myself as a force to be reckoned with on the realm.

    at this point, i pretty much own the realm. yes, there are other players with higher score and more forests and mountains, but i have over 100 cities, somewhere around 40-50 more than anyone else on the realm.

    my bit of input, would be to have player cities expire faster. and i mean significantly faster, like after a week of no login. part of the problem i see, is that if i quit, i leave behind 100 cities with between 50k to 1.8 million soldiers in each. who the hell wants to attack that? 100 cities on the realm that no one wants to touch, is significant real estate.

    they need to turn back to resources, randomly mountains or forests for anyone to take control of.

    More quests would be great and an expansion of the map would also be nice (but that would make the game more resource hungry and anyone not using ipad/iphone 4 would have MANY more problems due to ram size.

    Have alliance cities, where it could act like a storage city where anyone in alliance could use (not take) troops to help in defending or attacking when there is no alliance members online.

    Different troop types.

    I would love to see Custom or atleast different looking castles.

    A lot of things I agree with have already been said, but there are also a lot of things I disagree with so here are my thoughts:

    1. Obviously the food bug needs sorting out, if this worked properly and limited the population like it should then the game would go a huge way to being more balanced.

    2. An idea could be to reduce the initial gold cost of a unit, but have it cost gold over time i.e. one gold per ten swordsmen per 10seconds. This would make the upkeep of troops slightly more realistic, as if they were earning a wage.

    3. Linked with the two above, make the resource cap per city rather than a blanket 3,000,000. This would make it harder to grow but also reward big players once they get to that point. (A further possibility here of making players transport resources between cities).

    4. No way should there be a cap on cities, mountains or forests that can be held, the whole point of this game is realm domination - which brings me to my next point;

    5. The imbalance between established and new players is obvious, so to combat this we need to:

    a) Introduce a one week protection period from when a player joins a realm, this would allow him to get established before being ambushed.
    b) Have it so that the original cities can be captured, although make it so that this is only after all secondary cities are taken. This would allow an end game as a realm can then be completely captured. When this happens the winning player can get a message congratulating him on becoming emperor and gives him honour points. After this, the realm is then reset and ready for new players, solving the boredom of being a dominant player in a realm that can't truly be taken over, solving the problem of bullies and solving the problem of new players not being able to progress because of all the resources being taken, together with providing and end game.

    As a summary, I think this is a great game that just needs a few minor tweaks, obviously there are still the bugs but I think most players would agree that we can put up with these, the real issues are game balancing and the lack of a viable end-game. The lack of an end game is invariably what leads to other issues such as bullies, frustrated small players and boredom. Lets face it, once you become the top player there isn't anything to do other than make troops and wait until a small player attacks a random forest, or attack someone smaller than you and be called a bully.

    I think my solution above would end these kind of issues, for the meantime, everyone who moans about not being able to start at the same time as a top player can just go to a challenge realm. Or else do what I did, start from the bottom and take out the top three guys after a little bit of hard work.

    IMO the amount of forests and mountains each player should be allowed to Own should be limited, so newer developing players can also own resources.. As it stands if a newer player tries to acquire either to grow, they get decimated for daring to try, though the quests push for one of both..
    Either limit how many a player can hold at once or start spawning new forests and mountains in each server hourly to deal with new players and to ensure fair game growth!
    All I know is there has to be a way keep new players wanting to play, and regs wanting to keep building up fairly...

    Suggest: that there be honor points awarded to the runner up of the challenges. They don't have to be as much as the winner. What's happening now is, when a clear winner is seen, the other players simply drop out and stop competing. What's the use? But a second position means that serious play can continue, even when it's obvious that one person has obtained the top position.

    i dont know if it is possible to hapen but it would be a good idea for the new players. I see a lot of complains for big players that attack small players. It would be nice if there was someone kind of newbie protection(maybe a specific number of population) that wouldnt allow a much biger openent to attack a much smaler one. For example a player with 200k pop, could not attack a 20k pop. When the new player reaches a specific number of population then it will automaticaly exits the newbie protection!

Fix those first before you worry about other things. The amount this game crashes and the amount the servers are down is incredible.     When taping on a barracks with units under construction, show what is being trained there. For example, you begin building units in 3 different cities, they all will take 45 hours. You forget how many you started training at each location, it would be nice to see how many are training at each.

    Instead of the sliding scale for selecting number of troops, go to a 0-9 dial for each numerical place 1's, 10's, 100's, 1000's, and so on! Right now it will jump from 0 to 150 to 600. Making it hard to select a good amount of troops.

    First of all start sorting the bugs out there the main problem it makes castle craft frustrating to play lots of my friends have stoped playing coz of it also make it possible to delete active realms because in my realm there's so many inactive players and they can be replaced with active players to produce a new challenge. Try and make it easyer to find citys I have over 200 and I spend half my time finding them and there's a glitch with the if you can't beat them join them quest I've completed it and it won't go. It would be alot better if we could supply our alliance members with resourses and troops in barely worth being in an alliance other wise. and alliance wars would be amazing a lot more people would start playing if that happend and lastly it would be far more fun if we could by dragon crystals with our resources in the game

    Scouting - Cut down the Scouting messages to just the scouting report. I am full level 5 and my scouts always get discovered, always get a full scouting report, always loose the battle and always return. Can we just get the "Scouting:" report and save me time deleting "Scouts Exposed", "Battle Lost" and "Troops Recalled".

    I think there should be an alliance upgrades.
    1. Make an alliance bank or tax that takes 5 percent daily and adds to bank to give to players in the alliance.
    2. Clan leaders should be able to make new alliance functions such as co-leader or democrat.
    3. Make a diplomacy for alliances. With a diplomacy section two alliances can add each others as allies or start a war with another alliance if there's a problem or the ability to create a NAP (non-aggression pact) I think this would further improve the games entertainment and fun.

    inactives need to disappear faster. im less interested in seeing their cities turn orange, and more interested in seeing them turn back to resources. say, 75% chance of becoming a mountain, and 25% chance of becoming a forest. i realize i just lost a war, and no longer posses 125 cities, but in my example i could have quit and left 125 mountains or forests for people to claim. that would have been a benefit to the realm, for future play. think of the people who come in day 1, and all they see is 100% of everything is hogged by people like me.

    i dont see a benefit of having political approval go down with every attack. but maybe the opposite would get idle players off their butts and get some action going on the realms. every attack gains approval (this game IS about attacking, yes?)

    there needs to be a significant bonus to the defender. towns are too easy to overpower and just take without any real cost to the attacker.

    yes, food needs to be consumed. and faster while troops are moving.

    i would like to see some mercenary options. like me, right now, im in a weak spot as i just mentioned i lost a war. some of my mates recaptured my towns and let me get them back from them (empty, less cost for me). id like to be able to hire troops from another player, paid for out of my 10s income to the other player. i can release the troops from service at any time and they return to the town i hired them from, as well as the other player could cancel the contract at any time as well.

    2. Ability to see where troops are so that I don't have to search all my forests' to find lingering troops.

    3. To jump straight to cities with a "cities" button added to took bar at bottom.

    4. Make chat only for the realm you're in.

    5. Ability to search ALL players in a realm, not just friends and neighbors.

    6. Ability to counter scout if you have more scouts in your castle than scouts being sent to finally see who's scouting you.

    I agree with Ardn and please try to remove bugs like when someone attacks the forest or mountain we can not recall the troops and this is happening in most of the new realms and most of the bugs are occuring because of lots of realms made at the same time.


    And try to make people who purchase crystal away from the people who don't purchase crystals because whoever has most the crystals they attack the players who don't have crystals and there should be lots of meteors crashing and meteors should have seperated land where it can crash becoz when all of the forests or mountains are captured and cities are built over it the other players have hard time to build capture the meteors.

    So please accept my request and try to make this game easy for the players who are new to this game and who can not afford crystals for this game.

    I think the friending feature should be modified.

    Friend should be changed so that when you friend you are entered into a temporary alliance/truce for a predetermined time period. If the temporary alliance/truce is broken it can reduce their approval rating and if not add to their approval rating.

    This would allow people to work out a truce and have a little confidence that they are at less risk to make these deals.

    Like alliances now both parties must accept and more importantly which should be in place for both my proposed temporary alliance and the current alliance system.... BOTH parties MUST be notified when one choses to leave an alliance.

    If anyone leaves an alliance they should get a negative modifier to approval rating. BUT definitely MORE of a negative for the new proposed temporary alliance.

    To make this work the Approval Rating System will need to have real power. I should be a direct modifier to the attacking resolution system. Those with 100% approval will have no modifier. Those that have lower approval ratings will have negative modifiers to their attacks. 60% approval means their attack strength is reduced by 30%.. I would set 50% as max negative buff.

    It is up to the player to make good on their promises to maintain the 100% approval rating. For this to work the negative buffs are gained quicker than the positive ones.


    Stated above is for a fixed 1 time period but it would be great if the player could propose the time period of the temporary alliance. Also when the other player receives the request they could accept that period or a select a shorter one to accept.

    A system like this does not upset the current game system and could potentially reduce the constant backstabbing bullying because it would reduce their power of those that break their allegiances.

    Fix push notifacations so they can alert players when something is finished and what city it was completed in. with this fixed you could get rid of the timers because all they do is cause the game to lag and once you get around 80 timers going at once the game is impossible to play.

    Troops should all default back to the main city! When a city is taken, and you are training troops there, they should revert to base. And we should have a button that sense troops in forests and mountains to the main city when the city that sent them there is gone. Forests and mountain troops are stranded otherwise.

    1) A city can do 2 or more attacks at same time, unlike now you can have only 1 attack per city , its annoying that if you have a large army, why we have to wait till 1 attack is complete.

I have started experimenting with this is my realm where I am Aliance leader, by matching up new players with established players, and providing new citIes and properties for the new players to get a head-start. What's missing is an incentive for the mentors.

    One of the things I'd like to add that others have said, but I think would be very good is being able to reinforce an ally member. How many troops and how many alliance members can send troops can depend on the player's castle level or how much food they have to support the troops, but just like you can reinforce your own city before an attack ends, you should be able to do this for an alliance member.

    Please take the timers off the iPhone main hud!

    Once you have more than 40 or so timers at a time the game start to chug on my iPhone 4. Anytime the timers are not up(sub menus or when you swipe your finger back and fourth to make the hud disappear) the game runs smoothly. Put the timers under a sub menu that lists them in order of to be finished first. Like your list of cities when attacking. Have horizontal progress bars with the time remaining to the right.

    The timers are useless in their current form if your building more than 15 things.

    In my mind, after 1 or 2 months in the same realm, you begin to get bored if you have 10 cities or plus and are on the top 50.
    You do everyday the same tasks, there are no ressources left to be take taken and you are often in an alliance which means that there is no more competition.
    So the goal of the game become useless.
    I think that it would be a good things if you allow players that are in the rank 50 or plus of their existing realm to join a new realms where you transfer ressources, crystal and troops and where there are only old players who like you transfered their ressources. A sort of level 2 realms. The new players will be able to take the city and ressources of old players who have changed of realms and the players who have changed of realm could play with other player with the same level.
    I think it would reduce bullying and allow new player to start easily

    how about a different system for choosing the number of troops to send out on missions? the current slidebar is not effective when you have a larger number of troops and are harvesting crystals or scouting. when choosing the "attack" option or others it should bring up a keyboard that allows youo to choose the number instead or trying to slide. with alot of troops i dont want to send 3000 swords for crystals

    I've had a day with the new changes and I have to say there is little improved and one big, glaring problem. Attacking level 1 cities is not allowed. My realm is FULL of level 1 cities owned by a handful of players. With this change you've condemned me to no way of advancing. I can see not allowing the attack of level 1 cities if that is the only city owned by a player but you've created a loophole for all the resource hogs out there. If this isn't changed I will definitely quit.

Now I cant get back what I previously own since the city is level 1... And what if they dont build it up and just grab all my non-level 1 cities?!? Then that means I cant fight back and defend?!?  And should stop building other cities i get too and stick to my main city?!?

    I think you should also put a discussion board on changes that the community can vote on so that you keep poor decisions at bay as well.

    1. Resource Hogging...if you start a realm early, you get to pretty much own any resource you want. You have a head start on building and advancement. There should be a cap on resources that you own. For every 1 city you own, you can only own, say... 5 forests + 1 Mountain. For every city you take over, you can double that. For every city you "buy", using crystals, you can expand 3 forests. Or just keep it to the 5/1 ratio. But this will help newer players starting on a realm...this will also help make an alliance more useful, as you have to work together to expand the map.

    2. Alliance ... well, an alliance can help you attack 1 player with mutiple cities, but aside from that, the alliance really only helps with world map view. Why not make it so that the alliance can multi attack a big player to bring them down? If you are being attacked by a "bully", sometimes you need help bringing them down. If they have multiple level 5 cities, lots of soldiers, why not be able to have you and your alliance send multi-pronged attacks?

    3. Bullying ... Well, these are never fun. It should be that you cannot attack anyone who has 50% less total troops than you. That's just really unfair. Some people don't have the time to put into the game to grow big. Or they don't want to put in too much time. Should they be punished? I don't think so. There will always be people in the realm who don't play a lot, so others that don't play alot will be able to have fun in attacking them. Otherwise, for those players that seem to get "farmed" by bullys, make it so that you cant attack the same city more than 2x in 24hrs.

    I know 2 and 3 seem a bit contradictory, small vs big and big vs small, but there are many ways to improve this game and these are just what i thought that I hadn't seen on the suggestions yet.

This mat help some realms recover from the damage created by mass conversions of resources into Level One Cities. Really destroying a realm

    The defense system need to be more realistic.

    Right now a wall/tower has a set Battle Points (BP) associated with whichever level it is. This is regardless if there are troops defending or not.

    I can see a few falling to their deaths from scaling the walls on an undefended city .... but 100+?

    Now Having troops on those defensive structures should increase the effectiveness of those defenses. The more troops the bigger the boost from those defenses.

    I propose a change to city defense....

    City defense instead of a flat BP per structure/level there should also be a percent boost added to the troop BP total.

    Right now if you had 100 Swordsman L1 behind a tower and wall L1 it would look something like this... (note since the last update I believe the defense BP for structures has changed so i am using variables to represent my idea)

    100 BP - L1 100 Swordsman
    X BP - L1 Tower
    Y BP - L1 Wall
    -------------------------------------
    TOTAL = 100BP + XBP + YBP

    My proposed change would increase the defense of the city by the level of upgraded (wall/towers) and boosted by the amount of troops contained..... so the above would change...

    100 BP - L1 100 Swordsman
    X BP - L1 Tower
    + xx % - L1 100 Swordsman
    Y BP - L1 Wall
    + yy % - L1 100 Swordsman
    -------------------------------------
    TOTAL = ((1+ xx % + yy %) * 100BP) + XBP + YBP

    The above percentage boost would be cumulative/stackable by adding additional towers.

    I can foresee people designing cities for resource production (less defensive) or an outpost (more defensive)

    It seems that there are a lot of players that when attacked by overwhelming numbers pull back their troop to save them... but this is only a delay of the inevitable the way the game is set right now.

    But if there were an outpost that the weaker force could fall back to that has better defenses it could make a difference. True all the resource production would be wiped out but the player may not be wiped all the way back to his home city like it is today.

    This would also make it more realistic.... Sieges usually had the attacker needing more troops than the defender by a considerable amount. And after the battle you could expect that the casualties to be considerably higher for the attacking force.

    A thought on percentages...

    I was thinking 10% per level of walls (starting at level two) and 5% per level of tower.

    Walls and one Tower

    Level 1 city ((1 + 0.05 + 0.00) * 100) + XL1 + YL1
    Level 2 city ((1 + 0.10 + 0.10) * 100) + XL2 + YL2
    Level 3 city ((1 + 0.15 + 0.20) * 100) + XL3 + YL3
    Level 1 city ((1 + 0.20 + 0.30) * 100) + XL4 + YL4
    Level 5 city ((1 + 0.25 + 0.40) * 100) + XL5 + YL5 <-- 65% defensive boost to troops behind those defenses.<br />

    What do you guys think? Will this slow down the one army marching from city to city....

    I think that as a result of the latest update, we need the ability in some situations, to be able to return certain cities back into Resources such as forests and mountains. I some realms this may go a long way to repairing the damage dome with excessive conversion to Level one cities. Maybe allow it to go as far as L 2's could be returned, your troops would stay in the resource of course.
    Maybe not a groundbreaker but could be a lifesaver for some.
    IF all that is good in this forum is done, this game will be the best there is for any platform

    You should be able to tribute your allies resources or troops etc...

    I understand and agree with the principal of the level 1 rule. However it should DEFINETLY be limited to the home city. I would even go so far as to say you can’t attack a level 2 home city to help new players advance. But any additional city should be fair game. This needs to be fixed I think before you do anything else. People have spent all this time developing cities to level 5 only to be attacked and knocked down by some guy with 30 level 1 cities that you can’t attack.

    I say drop the City Button that is where the map button is when you are in the map. Useless when you have more than one city, and irritating when you accidentally hit it twice and end up back in your home city. (Especially when you are suffering with Make that a direct link to My Kingdom so you can select which city to go to.

    Move the timers on to a different page. That way you don’t have to refresh hundreds of timers by the second. AND then you don’t end up in another city watching your Academy research instead of upgrading the residence you were trying to select, and were a tad slow about it.

    I think that's a great idea, re-doing the defense calculations. It's definitely true that in real life, for a siege on a city, there need to be far more attackers than defenders, because walls provide a *huge* bonus to the defender. They should also fix the attack and unit bonuses so they work as phrased in the game.

    For other helpful ideas for the game, even if this is restating something, I think a major fix would be to have all the timers behind a tab. I've seen a couple posts recently about the game lagging much more with the recent update, and if the timers weren't using up active memory, it would make the game run much better.

    really the best fix for this game is the problem of being locked out or not able to log in. the developement of wars between realms is real nice because us bigger guys have no one to fight it becomes a dead realm.

    as a lot of players, I think that unattackable lvl1 cities rules fuck the games up, coz my ressources are now more reinforced than my cities. Players are trying to steal your ressources and build cities on.
    My solution is to build cities on all my ressources.
    I now have 250 cities

    I think some of the combat should be changed. Catapults shouldn't be a set unit, because if 30 swordsman charged a catapult, I'm pretty sure that the swordsman would destroy the catapult with minimum losses. Also, since catapults and archers sit back and fire at the enemies, there should be a percentage given to them when supported by other units. Dragons also seem kinda weak. I doubt that 20 swordsman could take out a dragon. The dragon could fly over them and torch them. Only archers or something should be able to take them out. And also get ri of all the non playing players castles so that new players can move in

    I don't know if It was mentioned above since I didn't take the time to read everything.
    If it was my apologies.

    I think it would be great idea if the realms were bigger,say twice or 3 times larger than their current state. Right now,IMO,servers are really too small. In all the servers I've played there are about 5-8 players that are active and most of them are in the same alliance so this turns out to be quite boring in the long run since there isn't any real challenge. 

    By extending the realms or even better merging realms together it should bring a new dynamic to the game and make the weight of alliances more meaningful.

    Furthermore I believe there should be a limit to how many members an alliance can have because at the actual state of the game one single alliance dominates the realm by having 3/4 of the top players and this is a game breaker.

    An Idea....

    When someone has enough strength to beat your secondary city it should only reduce the castle and/or all structures by one level. In order to capture it fully they would need to reduce the city's castle to level one first.

    So if a level five city is the target it would take five successful attacks to capture the city.

    This would allow refortification and reduce the now standard, amassing of a mega army that can march from city to city wiping out 100 cities in an hour....

    Do it like the mainstream MMorgs and you will become one.
    I know all of us who love this game will stay as long as we can. That is as long as it is possible to play.

    We have done all we can to protect our realm from the Lone issue.
    Just please fix it all in a sensible way, and remember most people got to number one with no protection at all. Just make sure that when you start you do so in an empty or low level realm.

    Gamer with only one lvl5 castle and 1xx lvl1 cities (100k population) will be contrained to protect its home castle and put in jeopardy his troups,
    otherwise he can be attack again and again by anybody who harvest a maximum of XP and become stronger. In a future when he'll want attack,
    from one of them lvl1 castle barackment, he will be wiped-out cause our lvlXP max reached !

    Possibly multiple types of realms, depending on what a player is trying to accomplish.

    Beginner - Players in this realm cannot attack a resource belonging to another player. This is the ideal place to play for new players try out the game and figure out how to build up cities without getting run over by bigger, more aggressive players. These should reset roughly once every 4-6 weeks.

    Race - Some target is set to achieve, and the realm resets when the first player reaches that target. This could be 100 cities, 1 million population, 2 million troops, etc. If it takes a day, a week, or a month, so be it

    Timed - Basically the current challenge realms. Realm starts and ends at a specified time, and player with most population (or troops) wins honor points. I'd suggest a tiered award structure for first, second, and third.

    Speed - Similar to the Timed realms, but with a very very short life. Perhaps 3-5 days instead of 3 weeks.

    Domination - Realm ends when one player owns all of the ownable resources. Every forest, every mountain, every secondary city. When that happens, the realm resets and it all starts over again.

    Champions - Domination style realms for those who have won Race/Timed/Speed/Domination realms.

    The idea here is that newer players don't walk into a "Classic" (Domination) realm, get wiped out, and then leave never to return. However, more experienced players cannot simply build level 1 cities and sit back and pick other players off either. Each player can play in a realm style that they like, and will know going in whether they need to expect to get attacked at any moment. :)

    Additionally, there's an end game. Realms that have been active for 8 months and have 2-5 players dominating everything and owning 2 billion troops likely get pretty boring. This way, there's a goal and a way to win every realm you join.

    I don't like the fact that all level one cities are protected. I have a player in my realm that is not leveling up any cities except his home city, so it is impossible to fight back when he takes your cities, because there is nothing to fight back against. He is using lvl 1 cities as resources, and is virtually untouchable due to this oversight. This is going to turn into a battle of who can have the most level 1 cities.

    Suggestion: don't reveal who owns any Forest or Mountain. Scouts will show what they do now *except* who owns it.

    That resolves players afraid of pissing off the players atop the leader board.

    Those that want to own them all can continually fight to keep them.

    Hello Guys,

    I Have 3 simple sugestions to make the game more simple and much more fun to play. Take a look:

    01. First build a option to Rise the entire city. Very simple, in the main city menu (like to reinforcement, add ones). The Rise entire city will take the resources and transform in a forest again. This simple add will create another type of players (pirates). They will maintain the game soft, change all the time, with more players and less cities.

    02. Second one, a litle change in the city limit atack. Just works for players with less then 5 cities. This will be more intersting 4 take care of small ones and still able to the great fights.

    03. The last one, is a cleanner option. Just transform dead players in forest automatic if they dont play in a month. Easy, simple and much better for all.


    I hope my sugestions are good for all. I think are all simples to do, and will make the game much more faster and funny to play.

    Give us an option to sell a city, and change it back into a resource, perhaps for a certain amount of gold and lumber. Selling a city would cost crystals, but shouldnt be an too expensive. A lower price to make a forest. A tad higher to make a mountain.

    Some suggestions I think that could really improve the longevity of the game.

    1. An option to sell a city (or raise the city) to turn it back into a resource in return the player receives gold and lumber. (can assume they reuse the lumber from tearing down the buildings and sell the goods). Population is lost.

    can be sold for a number of reasons:
    a) player needs gold or lumber and perhaps the city was once strategic but is no longer.
    b) player needs a particular resource that is not available in the game.
    c) another player took their valuable resource and turned it into a city, to take advantage of the level 1 immunity, this allows the player (when you change the rule) to take the city back and once again turn the realm into a beautiful green zone again.

    2. I think there should be an understanding that if you join a realm and go inactive for a long period of time, that a) You will receive a warning message after a set period of time, say 1-2 months b) if another period passes say another 1-2 months the players cities should be either turned into resources or made into NPC cities.

    Or at the very least give the player an option to resign from a realm. If they know they will not be playing anymore, they can resign, giving up their cities. Which would become either more resources or NPC cities.

    This would take care of the realms that have many many skeleton cities that do nothing but take up space on the map, from players who accidentally joined a realm while trying to find their original realm, or players who joined then decided the game was not for them.

    3. Level 1 immunity for a week after joining a realm. (home cities at level 1 should always remain immune)

    4. An option when attacking a home city to

    A) Pillage their resources

    or

    B) Sack the barracks. (stopping the training of troops going on . A risk if their are no troops being trained, as you may lose your troops and find there are no troops training, but a a risk worth taking.

    or

    C) Disrupt Building and Tech upgrades.. Again after a battle is won, instead of gold and lumber being taken the victory will stop the timers of certain techs and buildings (maybe limit to blacksmith, woodshop, and items from the academy that do not take crystals) This would add a whole new strategy to the game.

    Some minor simple suggestions.
    Define a clear win. Right now there is no defined way to win a Game. Either make it so that a set population defines a win or a clear cut off at say six months, (most pop wins).
    Add the ability to attack from a protected resource. Instead of making players recall there protection troops to a city to attack from.

    Retire from Realm Button

    I know there are more than a few who have raced to the top and once there get bored and move to a new realm for a challenge. Or accidentally started a new realm and have no intention of playing in it.

    If there was an option to resign from the realm which would turn all holdings into NPC holdings. Leaving all troops (now NPC's) and structures intact but NPC.

    I would also recommend this be the default action for those that just leave the game UNLESS the total Forest or Mountain count falls below the accepted minimum amount for the realm. In that case the minimum levels would need to be restored first and the remainder goes NPC.

    There already is a rule that inactive accounts are deleted after a certain amount of time (I think it's 2 weeks or one month). Also, there is a way to "win" realms, that's what the challenge realms are for.

    My suggestions would be:

    1. Under My Kingdom in the People menu, if you tap a city and it pulls up the city, you cant go back to the city list without clicking done, clicking people again, clicking my kingdom again, and selecting another city. Why not make a back button on the city information screen

    2. Tweak the harvesting of farms, goldmines, and lumber mills so that if it can be harvested, it CANNOT be inspected. I have NEVER, nor do I ever think I will want to inspect a resource before wanting to harvest it. When you have 6 or more resources to harvest it gets mondo old when it zooms in on three of them to upgrade or sell when all you want to do is harvest. I realize its probably because i technically missed the harvest bubble, but when you are on an iphone and the bubble is 1/3 the size of your finger, its almost impossible not to miss at least once.

    3. Ability to hide/show the build/march timers at will.

    Those are my most prominent wishes at this time. The gameplay itself so far, other than the L1 thing that I'm sure youve had plenty of suggestions about aside (all you need to do is remove L1 protection from ALL but home cities, it REALLY is that simple, promise).


    PS: Fix the forum time out. VERY annoying.

    Dark I have heard a rumor of this rule, but I have at least 6 realms on my list that I have never played in for at least 2 months, and they are all still on my list. So as they say the proof is in the pudding, if that rule exists it is broken as well as Ive yet to see any of these realms deleted off my list of realms despite no activity on my part in them.

    1. If someone attacks forest & coverts it to castle, when we read the message received & press go there, it says not found... 1st atleast it used to take us to the spot of forest, so we could know where the attack happened.

    2. what i noticed, I am playing in 4/5 realms but only in one realm I have several cities & resources... in that particular realms it even difficult to navigate & the game crashes every 1 minute or less, in the other realms it a little better in navigate the game & crashes occur much less...

    3. once again: Level 1 - no attack has to go fast...its really sad how the realms are becoming level 1 graveyards

    I have a few (or more) suggestions that I'd like to bring to everyones mind.

    1) we should have the ability to attack in other realms, Have friends in other realms, and also have our resources from all our realms combined to make one, pool of resources for all the realms we're in. That way, we can easily build up in other realms. if thes happened, i'd probabably acctually spend time in realms other than icehollow.
    2) we should have chat again. where did it go???
    3) get rid of the timers. They cause a lot of the errors in the game.
    4) get rid of the dragon's hat. It's creepy. (not everyone celebrates christmas.)
    5) whats the point of an alliance if there is no alliance chat, and can't attack together as a joint force? Its like having friends that you can't attack.
    6) get rid of the unused citys if no one uses them for over 3 months.
    7) don't have an attack block on level one cities.
    8) the ability to apprentice new players to stronger ones until they are big enough to care for themselves.
    9) make it easier to switch to other realms.
    10) have a push button to go to other citys of your own.

    13) have the crystals be different colors be for different amounts, and make them across the realm. (their always in one area)

    20) Provide a method for alliance leaders to poll alliance members on matters requiring a vote or confirmation.
    21) Highlight forests and mountains owned by alliance members with blue titles in the same fashion as alliance cities.
    22) make ships if your going to have so much water.
    23) get rid of the gamer names, and change the names that you took from a persons plus account and make them their usernames again.

    and again: please get rid of the lvl 1 block. Players just take my lvl 5 cities, and/or resources and quickly put up a lvl 1 city. and I can't retaliate. makes no game sense.

    in the water there could be schools of fish that a player can own, like the forests or mountain, but would add to your food reserves.
    maybe you would have to have a coastal city to build ships.

    Please just fix the existing bugs and don't change the game dynamics in the next update.  The only exception to this should be ending the Level1 city protection rule. A player that can't cut it in a realm should be allowed to be eliminated, otherwise it's not a game of realm domination but a terrible knock off of sim city.  I think any changes should be made only to enhance game play instead of changing existing rules. Castlecraft is a great game with a lot of potential but if each new update changes the rules and contains just as many bugs as the previous version then each update will be "one step forward and two steps back" for castlecraft.  You guys as the developers would have a lot less heartache and wasted hard work if you would just improve the known bugs without creating amy new ones with each update.  

    Most of the suggestions I've read about on the forums may seem harmless enough but would have potentially huge consequences. My favorite is the "army cap" suggestion, either by food or city troop caps. If this rule were to happen it would prompt other players to be more aggressive to stay ahead of everyone else. Instead of stopping when I reach my "troop cap" I would just take over more cities and resources so I can keep building more troops and keep anyone else from having the exact same size army as mine. 

    Some better improvements would be to fix the resource accumulation so it matches with what I should be getting, do away with troop build timers to reduce game lag, fix the double mail you get for a March Complete, make the "go there" button work when you're not in world view mode, and etc. You guys know what bugs exist, please just work on those before adding more features to the game.

    Scouting: I think if the scouts are exposed, they shouldn't give a scouting report, or at least not an accurate one
    Troops Returning: I wish the message stated to which town the troops are returning when you are too late for a dragon crystal.

    sometimes i wish there could be a battle over dragon crystals, for example: depending on how big the crater is, it would take a certain amount of time to harvest them... if another player reached the crater before harvesting was complete, there could be a chance of stealing the crystals

    FOR THE LOVE OF GOD: get rid of the level one immunity before i lose all my resources to players stealing them and building level one cities

    oh, and I REALLY like the idea of being able to turn cities back into resources and/or inactive player cities turning back into resources
    If the level one immunity is ever lifted I'm gonna crush someone, and don't necessarily want all those cities

    and seriously, is it just me, or is there a time limit on posting a comment?

    1. If someone attacks forest & coverts it to castle, when we read the message received & press go there, it says not found... 1st atleast it used to take us to the spot of forest, so we could know where the attack happened.

    You really have to stop the lags because when I use crystals, it takes as long as if I didn't to complete. That ticks me off. Also, a game improver would be lowering the cost of crystals in the store, or exchanging them for food in the market. If crystals were cheaper, you'd get more buys. And lastly, crystals should follow us from realm to realm. Why should I buy crystals in the challenge realm if I just lose them when the challenge is over? I want to take my crystals with me. I'd be more apt to buy if they went with me.

    If someone scouts your city and their scouts are detected have the email let you know who did the scouting. Back in the day if scout was found they would make him talk lol!

    Czar - I don't know if this will help you or not, but I've noticed that you have to be in the map view (not the city view) to be able to click the go there button and it work.

    As for suggestions... my biggest pet peeve in the game is the inability to pick exactly how many troops I want to train, attack, recall or reinforce! Let me type in how many! I can handle the constant crashing, but this one just bugs me!!!

    And have the timers in a pop up screen so you can hide them, don't get rid of them because I like to know how much longer I have to go before they are done. And I like that I can click on them to see which city or building it is working on.

    Why not develop a more feature packed version for the iPad and charge for it, you would then have a steady revenue stream, there are too many suggestions here to implement on a free version, the larger iPad screen would allow the GUI improvements users are asking for.

    Almost every suggestions are being said to resolve current issues and to make the game more challenging. I like the idea of lvl1 protection, but there should be a limit. Its also good idea that when a resource or
    a city being attacked, there should be a way to reinforce it. One thing i am suggesting since most of the are already mentioned, i hope that every player have skill points like attack and defence points. When you reach lvl 5 and acquire all those techs and stuff, attacker wins by how much he/she used. If we put skill points on a player, it will be harder sometimes to determine if a player has higher attack or defence skills.

    Idk, any idea?

    The two features that would make the game better:

    1.- When harvesting crystals, PLEASE tell me which cities are already in battle. It will be a huge time saver for me..
    2.- Being able to divide equally my total army between the cities, so they all have the same amount of troops.

    Please remove the 3,000,000 resource limit. I've got almost 200 cities and reach 3 million in less than half an hour. But that gold only buys 200 catapoults. If the cap is increased then all my cities can be training troops which is more realistic. It's tiring logging on every 30 min just so that a single barracks can train troops

    I also agree with other posters about sharing resources, or giving cities to alliance members. I'd like to help the people in my alliance more than just providing my view of the map. Finally, it would be good to be able to skip to specific cities faster, using some kind of filter or search. Scrolling through 200 cities each time I want to reinforce one is crazy

    My only suggestion to the developers of Castlecraft:

    -always put into your minds for any ideas your going to add or remove into a program that it should benefit to all users,  stable, appealing, and listens to customers. Anything other than that will cause you to loose customers and will not promote you to market. 

    Make it simple and stick to what the game suppose to be at first advertised, realm domination! If you want to implement new thing, have a beta version or create a new tab other than classic or challenge mode. 

    Anyway, im done.

    I have a suggestion/question... After playing for several major revisions I see a trend. Updates are complex and require a ton of work for the Developers to get approved and rolled out. I have also seen player who love and hate each new rule set. With all that in mind... I would suggest that the Developers use the Realms as a way to pilot rule sets. Develop rules in a modular fashion, so that the client is capable of running various rule sets and the server or Realm determines which rule set is run. This would allow you to change rules per server or realm and find what best fits your user population. It will also allow you to keep more players happy as they can join Realms with rule sets that fit their play style. Additionally rules like population, tech, resources and such could be tested in many configurations at once with nearly instant feedback from your user population. My view may be overly simplified, but it seems like you need a way to pilot 'client side' changes without having to release an entirely new update. Can this not be done via a variable in each rule passed to the client from the server? 

    Eg. Level 1 protection
    In realm A the 'protection' variable states there is no protection
    In realm B the 'protection' variable states there is 30 days protection

    In realm A the 'build new cities' variable states a player may only build 25 cities 
    In realm B the 'build new cities' variable states no limit

    Building in this fashion endless combinations could be tried and only core function changes would require a release to change.

    I agree with several of the suggestions regarding alliance management. It is the cause for a lot of the trouble that people are trying to address with the ideas about more complicated solutions. Most of these things that people are coming up with really involved (and more intricately imbalanced) solutions for would not end up improving the overall experience or addressing the problems they are targeting. Plus, given what has been addressed, super complex game behaviors will never be implemented anyway. Some people are asking for handicaps for new players and extra incentives for established players to help them. Those already exist since the cities were limited to 10 per player. It is in your best interest, as a larger player, to get as many allies with city opening ready to assist in disassembling other players.

    Every two sentences, this forum stops me and says thanks for posting, your submission is under review, and I have to go back into drafts and start typing again. Can someone fix this, it's a serious pita.

    This is what I think will immediately improve the game for everyone in the most likely and effective ways:

    1) Alliance reports. All battles for all players in the alliance, available in the Alliance tab. Sort by Player, date/time. opponent alliance, opponent player.

    2) Greater alliance visibility. Make alliance visible in the Player info, so you can see what alliance a player belongs to.

    3) More alliance information. Make the other alliances available in the realm visible in the People menu, including at least the Leaders name and number of people. If possible, include the renderer for the map for that alliance.

    4) Alliance communication. Chat is not persistent. Half of the players can't receive messages. People > Alliance should show the current alliance description, which can include a status message from the leader, where players can see something about what is going on, which the leader having to message each and every single person or create their own website just to do that.

    5) Alliance messaging. Send general messages to entire alliance (bulletins). This is both a message and a pop up alert. If the player is online when it comes, it pops up. If they login later and didn't see it, it pops up when they log in. Even unregistered gamers in an alliance should see these.

    6) Who is online in alliance. Visible in alliance chat.

    7) Alliance chat should not be something you can turn off.

    8) Alliance role: Vice-Leader - Can invite and kick.

    9) Fix multitasking. You should be able to check an email message, and come back to the game, without it doing a reload of the whole thing.

    10) FIx orientation. On Ipad2, iOS 5, whenever switching realms, I have to turn the device sideways, and then turn it back again, to regain interactivity with the screen.

    11) Make troop return messages optional, turn off in the Option menu. They're just a pain in the butt.

    12) Reenforcing ally resources and cities is probably a pain in the butt to implement, because you need to keep them separate. What about "grants".
    Just allow alliance members to send troops to a player as a grant, and they become the property of the other player. Resources could be sent this way too. On the city menu, if the city or resource is already a friend, an icon for gift appears instead of add friend. Click that, choose the source city, then like the reenforce does now, but next to done, a button that says "send rations", so that the troops sent carry the BP equivalent of all three resources on their backs.

    Switch back to letting us know who is scouting us. If that's done, it could help solve the problem of missing troops. It will be easier to find who is using the glitch. Because I've found scouting people to find who has my troops is not working because they hide the troops on a mountain or in a forest.

  • In castle craft we should be able to leave the alliance and still be able to get our dragon crystals back

  • swncc1701, I love how your suggestion is to remove the anonymity that SCOUTING SHOULD provide so that the GLITCH can stay. Shouldnt they just fix the glitch?

    Shouldnt they fix ALL the glitches? Scouting is just part of it, how about allowing us to join a realm that people we know are in. How about instituting food consumption, food right now is useless. How about allowing people to go to a city from within the city view and not JUST from the map view. How about fixing the stupid forums!

    FIX THE GAME before you try to improve upon it.
